A Miami-Dade police officer has found himself on the wrong side of the law after an alleged incident involving someone in his house.
Reinaldo Ruiz, 47, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was in Broward County jail Monday.
Ruiz, a sergeant at MIami-Dade PD, was arrested over the weekend, but details as to what happened to get police to his Southwest Ranches home have not been released.
Miami-Dade Police have not commented on the incident.
A judge ordered Ruiz held on a $27,500 bond.
