The boy was taken to Memorial Hospital Miramar where Miami-Dade Fire Rescue used its Air Rescue North helicopter to deliver antivenin to the victim at the hospital.

The snake that bit the teen  was a young water moccasin, also known as a cotton mouth. If it were a fully grown water moccasin, officials say, the consequences of a bite would be have been death or limb amputation.
