Miami-Dade Man Accused of Stabbing Girlfriend: “Prove It!”

A Miami-Dade man accused of stabbing his girlfriend while she slept had a message for prosecutors during his appearance in bond court Wednesday.

"Prove it! Prove it!" Jorge Borda said repeatedly during the appearance before Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Migna Sanchez-Llorens.

Borda, 33, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm and armed burglary after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend at least 20 times as she slept in her home last month.

The woman was rushed to a local hospital in stable condition. Police believe Borda was involved in a hit-and-run accident the following day where he assaulted the driver of the other vehicle.

As prosecutors read the arrest affidavit in court Wednesday, Borda became Police believe Borda, 33, was involved in a hit-and-run accident the following day..

""Prove it! Prove it! This is so funny, you guys are all liars, you guys are all full of like, lies," Borda exclaimed. "You guys like listening to liars. Prove it, prove it, prove it!"

Borda didn't stop after he was asked to be quiet.

"So what, you guys throw people in jail without evidence? Oh my God, this is so fake," he said.

Borda was ordered held without bond. It was unknown if he has an attorney.
