Miami-Dade Police Looking for Man Who Abducted Girl, 10, From Bus Stop

Girl dropped off at school after suspect made an inappropriate sexual request, police say

Police are searching for a man who abducted a 10-year-old girl from a northwest Miami-Dade bus stop before dropping her off at school.

The girl was sitting at the bus stop at Northwest 100th Street and Northwest 22nd Avenue around 7 a.m. Monday when the man, who was driving a navy blue Kia Soul, asked her if she wanted a ride to school, Miami-Dade Police said.

The girl agreed and got into the car, and she was driven to a gas station at 1601 Northwest 119th Street, where the man made an inappropriate sexual request, police said.

Surveillance footage from the gas station showed the suspect inside.

The girl refused and demanded to be dropped off at school, and the man took her to school unharmed.

Police said the girl gave a description of the man to investigators, who were able to come up with a sketch. The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, with long dreads and possibly one gold tooth.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
