New video that captured a rollover wreck involving six cars including a marked police cruiser in Miami-Dade was released Wednesday.
Red light cameras captured the car flipping over and slamming into the other vehicles Tuesday night in the area of Southwest 8th Street and 32nd Avenue.
The driver, David Merini, is now facing a DUI charge. He told NBC 6 the reason he crashed was because his brakes malfunctioned before impact.
Merini, 33, was being held on $9,500 bond Wednesday, jail records showed. It was unknown if he's hired an attorney.
The officer who was struck as well as another driver were hospitalized but are expected to be okay.
