Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho Attends White House Policy Discussion

Miami-Dade Public School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho was participating in a meeting on school discipline at the White House Wednesday.

Carvalho is leading the Miami delegation that is meeting with White House officials, including Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

The meeting is a national policy discussion on discipline practices aimed at creating safe and supportive school environments.

Deputy Superintendent Valtena Brown and Chief Academic Officer Marie Izquierdo are also part of the Miami delegation.
