The NFL announced the scheduled of games for each team on Wednesday, and the Fins will not have to travel far for their four exhibition games in 2018 – all against teams they played during the 2017 regular season.
Miami will open their preseason slate by hosting the cross-state rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Hard Rock Stadium during week one, between August 9th and 13th. The teams have been traditional foes in the preseason, playing 16 straight games between 2000 and 2015 but haven’t met since.
The Dolphins lost their 2017 meeting with the Bucs 30-20 in a game that was moved from the opening weekend of the season to November 19th due to Hurricane Irma’s impact on Florida.
One week later, between August 16th and 20th, Miami will travel to take on the Carolina Panthers for the sixth time in preseason history. The Dolphins were blown out last season by the Panthers in their regular season game, losing 45-21 in a nationally televised game.
The following week, Miami will host the Baltimore Ravens for the second straight year sometime between August 23rd and 26th. The teams met twice last season with the Ravens winning both the preseason and regular season games by a combined score of 71-7, including a 40-0 shutout victory on national television in late October.

The Dolphins will close out the preseason slate against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday, August 30th. Miami swept both games last season against the Falcons, winning both games in comeback fashion in the preseason at home and during the regular season in Atlanta.
Exact dates for the first three preseason games will be released by the league at a later time, while the regular season schedule is expected to be released by the end of April.
