For the fourth time in the last six seasons, the Miami Hurricanes will be dancing in the NCAA Tournament.

The ‘Canes, who finished the 2017-18 season ranked 24th nationally and third in the ACC, will begin their March Madness as the sixth seed on Thursday when they face the Loyola-Chicago in Dallas.

Head coach Jim Larranaga will be looking to lead the Hurricanes to a deep tournament run – Miami has advanced to the Sweet 16 three times in program history, with two of them coming in the last three trips to the big dance.

Miami will not be the only Sunshine State program in the tournament field. The Florida Gators also got the sixth seed and will open play on Thursday against either St. Bonaventure or UCLA in Dallas, their seventh appearance in the last 10 seasons.

The Florida State Seminoles will be making a tournament appearance for the second straight season as the ninth seed when they face Missouri on Friday in Nashville.

The NCAA Tournament begins with four play in games starting Tuesday with the Final Four starting March 31st in San Antonio, Texas followed by the national championship game on April 2nd.
