A Miami Police Department officer is out of the hospital after crashing her cruiser into the side of a building Monday night.
The officer's car ended up halfway inside of a U-Haul Self-Storage at the corner of NW 7th Avenue and 54th Street, according to City of Miami fire rescue.
Officials say the officer - who has not been identified - was responding to a call with her lights and sirens on when she tried to avoid another vehicle and crashed into the side of the building.
The officer was transported to the hospital in stable condition, according to police, and later released to recover at home.
