Miami Woman Wins $2M From Florida Lottery Ticket Bought in Publix

Lump sum: $1,621,470.40

A Miami woman has won the Florida Lottery's Jackpot Triple Play, taking home $2 million.

Cassandra Kennedy Sabin, 30, won the jackpot from the drawing held Aug. 27 in Tallahassee.

"Kennedy Sabin chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,621,470.40," the Florida Lottery said in a statement.

She purchased the ticket at the Publix on 2952 Aventura Boulevard in Aventura. Publix received a $2,000 commission for selling the ticket.
