Michelle Obama To Hold Broward Event on Afternoon Before Final Presidential Debate

Tickets will be available Friday and Saturday, Obama for America says

First Lady Michelle Obama will make an appearance in Davie on the same day of the final presidential debate in Boca Raton – and tickets for her event will be available Friday and Saturday.

She will speak to grassroots supporters at Broward College’s George Mayer Gymnasium on Monday afternoon, Obama for America said in a statement Thursday.

Michelle Obama will speak about what’s at stake in the Nov. 6 election for Floridians, ask them to help organize their communities before the big day, and promote voting through vote.barackobama.com, the campaign said.

Her husband, President Barack Obama, will debate Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney for the third and final time at Lynn University in Boca Raton that night.

Free tickets for Michelle Obama’s appearance will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on Friday from noon to 9:30 p.m. at three locations. They are Organizing for America – Hollywood at 2001 Tyler St., Organizing for America – Pembroke Pines at 2104 N. Flamingo Road, and Organizing for America – Miramar at 6750 Pembroke Road.

If tickets are still available Saturday, they can be picked up on that day beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing possibly until 9:30 p.m.
