Missing Elderly Pompano Beach Woman Found Safe: Deputies

Authorities said she walked away from the Atlantic Shores Retirement Home at 6:15 p.m. Friday

A missing elderly woman who suffers from dementia was found safe Saturday morning, the Broward Sheriff's Office announced.

Authorities said a Good Samaritan located 69-year-old Patricia Ennis, who was walking on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. She was transported back to the Atlantic Shores Retitrement Home, which she reportedly walked away from on Friday.

The Pompano Beach woman was wearing grey pants and a grey jacket. She is 5-feet-4-inches tall and weighs less than 100 pounds.

Authorities said Ennis was in good physical condition when she left the assisted living facility.
