Missing Oakland Park Boy Found Safe: Broward Sheriff's Office

A 15-year-old Oakland Park boy was found safe Wednesday afternoon after he had been missing for two days, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

BSO detectives located Shawn Hampton with his older sister on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m., the BSO said in a news release.

Hampton is unharmed and back at home with his parents, the agency said.

Hampton had been last seen on Monday at about 4:30 p.m. near his home on the 300 block of Northwest 42nd Street in Oakland Park. Detectives said they believed Hampton, who has autism and bipolar disorder, simply walked away from his home.
