A motorcyclist died early Sunday after he crashed into a highway ramp and was ejected from his motorcycle.
Florida Highway Patrol said 24-year-old John Rowe of Miramar was traveling westbound on I-595 on the ramp to the Turnpike southbound around 7 a.m. Troopers said he failed to negotiate the curve and struck the concrete wall of the ramp. The force of the impact ejected Rowe from the motorcycle.
Rowe fell over the wall 30 feet below onto the grass shoulder of westbound 595, according to FHP. He was transported to Broward Health Medical Center where he died.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
