Mystery Alarm Forces Evacuation at Cafe Versailles

A mystery alarm forced patrons to evacuate Cafe Versailles late Wednesday, and firefighters aren't sure what caused that alarm.

Officials say guests were dining at the Cuban eatery at Southwest Eighth Street and 37th Avenue in Little Havana around 10 p.m. Wednesday when the alarm started going off and would not stop.

Firefighters evacuated dozens of diners and employees, and kept them outside as crews tried to figure out what was causing that alarm.

It is not known what caused the alarm. Crews are investigating, but employees tell NBC 6 South Florida that the alarm has gone off like this before for unknown reasons.

No injuries have been reported.

The cafe is expected to open for business as normal Thursday morning.
