A family from Naples was more than happy to make a drive back to Miami after their beloved pet was found near Miami International Airport.
Monday, a dog named Tica hopped out of her family’s car while leaving the airport and heading home, running away before her owners could catch up. After notifying businesses in the area where Tica ran away, the family waited and hoped for some good news.
That good news came on Wednesday when the dog was reunited with her family after she was found near the airport’s Wildlife Management area, roughly two miles away from where she was last seen.
Officials say she somehow got across eight lanes of traffic and dealt with over 90 degree temperatures to get to the location she was spotted.
