Neglected Dog Gets Makeover in Palm Beach

A dog that was dropped off at the Palm Beach Animal Care and Control with overgrown fur matted from urine and feces is recovering after getting a makeover.

The dog couldn't see because fur was covering its eyes when it was dropped off Tuesday after being found in Delray Beach, WPTV reported. The hair around his mouth was trimmed just enough so he could eat, Animal Care officials said.

Workers noticed the dog was limping and after he was shaved they discovered part of his foot was missing.

Witnesses are being questioned and animal cruelty charges could be filed against the dog's owner, WPTV reported.
