New $1 Million Scoreboard Coming to UM's BankUnited Center

The BankUnited Center in Coral Gables will be receiving a new scoreboard just in time for the University of Miami's 2014-15 basketball season.

The scoreboard costs $1 million and is being funded by FMSbonds, a South Florida bond firm that regularly donates money to University of Miami Athletics.

“This state-of-the-art scoreboard is one more way that UM, which excels in so many areas, will stand out among the premier programs in the country,” said FMSBonds President James A. Klotz, in a media release.

The new scoreboard will feature four sides of video and will show game and player statistics.

The Hurricanes 2014-15 basketball season will begin in October.
