What to Know

  • The new StarFlyer attraction is slated to open on June 1.
  • The attraction will swing and spin visitors more than 400 feet in the air at a speed of 60 mph.
  • Once complete, the StarFlyer ride will be the tallest StarFlyer attraction in the world.

A new Orlando attraction is sure to take visitors to new heights - 450 feet above Central Florida, to be exact.

The upcoming StarFlyer ride, which is scheduled to open June 1, is located on International Drive near Kings Orlando, said Youtube user Mikefreakinhart, who posted footage of the tall structure on the video streaming website.

Once complete, the attraction will be the tallest StarFlyer thrill ride in the world, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Visitors can expect to be swung and spun more than 400 feet in the air at a speed of 60 mph.

The tower itself is taller than the popular Orlando Eye Ferris wheel, which measures 400 feet exactly. On Twitter, officials with Unicorp National Development said the StarFlyer ride is set to open in June.

According to the Sentinel, a car show and 8-hour party will officially welcome the StarFlyer ride to Central Florida on its opening date. The attraction will be located on the Vue at 360 complex, the newspaper said.
