New Video Shows Barbershop Rampage Before Fatal Police-Involved Shooting in Miami Beach

New surveillance video has been released capturing the moments before a deadly police-involved shooting in Miami Beach while employees of a barbershop who witnessed the incident are speaking for the first time.

The video from inside the Razzle Dazzle Barber Shop shows the terrifying moments bank robbery suspect David W. Winesett ran in, yelled at employees and grabbed a straight edge razor before confronting police on Alton Road.

In the video, Winesett begins ransacking the barbershop, throwing around computers and chairs. In all the commotion Winesett grabbed the razor as employees cowered in fear.

"I was terrified, I was shaking. My heart was just pumping out of my chest. It was really scary," employee Jennifer Alvarez said.

Authorities said the 51-year-old Winesett had tried to rob a Bank of America down the road earlier Saturday. As he ran from police he took cover in the barbershop. Employees said it was chaotic.

"The guy was threatening them with a bomb. He was gonna shoot everybody and he just came in throwing everything all over the place and it was kinda scary," Razzle Dazzle owner Elena Linares said.

"He was basically just tearing up the place, saying that he was gonna kill you, that he was gonna kill the cops," Alvarez said. "I guess I don't know who he was talking to but like 'oh I'm gonna kill you. I'm gonna stab you in the head.'"

One barber is being hailed as a hero by his co-workers. He pushed everybody to the back room to try and protect them as Winesett went on a rampage. After a few moments Winesett ran out the door.

He was first Tased and then shot dead by a police officer. Police said Winesett was a convicted serial bank robber and had just escaped from a halfway house.

While many still question the police tactics that killed Winesett, the barbershop employees said it was justified and they are grateful to be alive.

"Thank God for the police defending themselves...it's unfortunate but it had to have happened that way. Because we were all saved and that the important," Linares said.

Miami-Dade County Police are investigating the shooting and the FBI and Miami Beach police are investigating the bank robbery, officials said.
