The new, third-generation iPad will go on sale in the U.S. at 8 a.m. Friday, Apple said Wednesday.
The company said the new device – which will feature a super-fast Internet connection, a Retina display and a more powerful chip with “quad-core graphics” – will be sold at the same time Friday morning in its retail stores and online at apple.com.
The new model, available in black and white, has a suggested retail price of $499.
