Nine Hospitalized, Mostly Children, After Two-Car Collision in Lauderdale Lakes

Six children and three adults were hospitalized, considered as trauma alert patients, after a two-car collision in Lauderdale Lakes Wednesday night.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue said the collision occurred at an intersection after "light rain."

Fire rescue officials from Tamarac and Oakland Park also responded.

"In all, 9 patients; 3 adults and 6 children were injured; one adult critically. All patients were considered trauma alerts and transported to Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale with an assortment of injuries," BSO Fire Rescue said in a statement.
