No One Hurt After Fire Breaks Out in Little Haiti Convenience Store For Second Time in One Week

Crews were able to put out an early morning fire inside a Little Haiti convenience store Tuesday – the second such fire at the business within a week.

Miami Fire Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll told reporters the fire broke out inside the store located off North Miami Avenue and 62nd Street just before 4 a.m. No one was hurt in the blaze, which started near the rear entrance by a door where the window had been broken out.

Carroll said it was the second time crews had to respond to a fire at the business, with the earlier blaze located near the same location of the business where the latest one took place.

Officials have not yet said whether the fires were intentionally set as their investigation continues.
