Miami Fire Rescue crews responded to an early morning house fire near Northwest 18th Street and 22nd Place.
The home’s owner says he was woken up by his two dogs barking when the fire first broke out. Neither the owner nor his two dogs were hurt in the blaze, which was complicated by the roof collapsing and crews having to fight from the outside to put out various hot spots.
No other homes were affected and an investigation continues into the cause of the fire.
