North Florida Man Wanted for Murder of Wife, Mother-in-Law Captured in Miami

Authorities have captured a man wanted for killing his elderly mother-in-law and his wife in Miami.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Miami Dade Police arrested Jose D. Fontanillas, 63, on two counts of premeditated first-degree murder Friday.

Fontanillas is charged with killing his wife, 58-year-old Diane Williams, and his mother-in-law, 80-year-old Elouise Welcome. Authorities found Welcome and Williams deceased at their home in Jennings, a town near the Florida-Georgia border, on January 25th. The family dog was also found dead.

Fontanillas was arrested without incident walking along Biscayne Blvd near SE 1st Street in Miami Friday afternoon. He was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail and will return to Hamilton County to face charges.
