One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting Sunday night that took place near a Miami hospital.
The person who died was shot in the chest. Another was shot in the leg and is in stable condition.

City of Miami Police said they received numerous 911 calls about shots fired in the area of Northwest 15th Street and 8th Avenue. When they responded, Miami Fire Rescue found one man shot in the chest and another shot in the leg.
The man who was shot in the chest died at the hospital.
Police said the incident happened on the street, not inside a building.
Investigators are unsure of what led up to the shooting.
“We don’t know if it was a drive by. If someone just walked up to them or if it was a robbery. We don’t know. There’s a lot we’re trying to piece together at this time,” said Kenia Fallat of City of Miami Police.
The person who was shot in the leg remains in stable condition. Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward. They are urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
