Hollywood Police say three people were in the car, with a 24-year-old pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not identified the victim.
The driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition while the third person suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Crews removed the vehicle shortly after 5:30 a.m. and the roadway was reopened.
Officials have not said if any other cars were involved or what caused the crash, but are investigating if speed or alcohol were possible factors.
