One Woman Dead, Another Stable in Late Night Shooting in Fort Lauderdale

Another victim in stable condition

Police continue to look for a man they say is involved in a late night shooting that left one woman dead and another in stable condition in Fort Lauderdale Saturday night.

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department said that at about 11 p.m. on Saturday night a domestic disturbance in the 1100 block of NW 11th Street led to a man pulling out a handgun and shooting two women.

Detectives identified Burnie Reed, 19, as a possible suspect in the shooting. They consider Reed armed and dangerous.

Family members and friends of the victim told NBC Miami that the two women were sisters and that one was shot in the face and died. The other was said to be pregnant.

Both women were in there 20s, family members confirmed. Police said that they taken to Broward General Medical Center.
