A Palm Beach County air conditioning repair man is facing an attempted murder charge after authorities say he assaulted a woman and restrained her young children.
Dario Hernan Dotto, 34, was arrested Saturday after going to an appointment at a home in Boynton Beach, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office officials said, according to WPTV.
Dotto, of West Palm Beach, was at the home to repair the air conditioning but for some reason restrained the children and assaulted the woman, officials said.
He struck the woman multiple times with a blunt object, causing severe laceration on her face and head, officials said. Dotto later confessed to the attack, officials said.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, he's facing kidnapping and child abuse charges. Dotto was being held without bond Monday, and it's unknown if he's hired an attorney.
