Pedestrians, Including Children, Struck by Car in Fort Lauderdale

Police are looking for a driver who fled after hitting three pedestrians, including two children, Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale.

The driver of a white BMW hit the pedestrians and several vehicles near Las Olas Boulevard and A1A before fleeing on foot, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

One woman and two children were taken to the hospital, including a child as a trauma alert, said Casey Liening of the FLPD.

A detailed description of the driver was not immediately available.
