Pembroke Pines House Fire Displaces Its Residents

The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damages.

A bedroom fire in a Pembroke Pines home Sunday morning caused $100,000 in damages and displaced its three residents, authorities said.

The fire occurred in the Pasadena Pool Homes development at SW 4th Street and 113th Avenue, according to Tom Gallagher of Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue.

Firefighters arrived at the home, which was emitting heavy smoke, and estinguished the fire within ten minutes. The two adults and one child who lived in the home were not injured, but will be assisted by the American Red Cross for housing needs, authorities said.

Gallagher said the cause of the fire, which is under investigation, does not appear to be suspicious.
