Members of the Miami-Dade Police Robbery Intervention Unit spotted a stolen vehicle and attempted to stop it Friday night

Police set up a perimeter in Liberty City Friday night but failed to catch three suspects they believe bailed out of a stolen vehicle in the neighborhood, Miami-Dade Police said.

Members of the Miami-Dade Police Robbery Intervention Unit spotted the stolen vehicle and attempted to stop it at about 8 p.m., but the occupants bailed out, police said.

A perimeter was set up from Northwest 64th Street to Northwest 67th Street and from Northwest 6th Avenue to Northwest 7th Avenue.

Miami-Dade Police were aided by Miami Police in the search, and a helicopter was also used. But authorities were unable to find the people who bailed out of the vehicle, police said.
