Police are investigating after two people are dead following a stabbing at a home in southwest Miami-Dade Monday morning.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. at a home in the 6100 block of Coral Way, Miami-Dade Police said.
Officials said one person was stabbed to death at the home. A second person was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where they later died.
Police said the owner of the home and the person responsible died in the incident.
Footage showed a pool of blood near the home's front door. A neighbor said she heard a loud banging at the door just before the stabbing.
"I heard the sounds of the scuffle," Doreen Maylin said.
Maylin and other neighbors said a man stabbed another man then killed himself. She identified the homeowner as 66-year-old Carlos Pinto.
