Two pilots died Saturday morning when their planes collided mid-air in Volusia County, authorities say.
There was an "in-air mishap between two small aircrafts" about 1 mile west of South Interstate 95 in Edgewater, according to city spokesperson Jill Danigel.
The Federal Aviation Administration says one of the planes was a Cessna 170 and the other an ``unidentified experimental aircraft.''
Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board were at the crash site.
No further information has been released.
