A Plantation man was convicted of child porn charges after authorities said his hard drive contained hundreds of illegal images, the Department of Justice announced.
James E. Price III, 42, was found guilty Friday of distribution and possession of child pornography. Price faces up to 25 years in prison and a $500,000 fine for the two charges combined.

An investigation by the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force identified Price as possessing and trading the porn through a file sharing network. Authorities said they later found a hard drive in his home, hidden behind boxes, with hundreds of illegal images on it.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 10 by federal court Judge Kathleen M. Williams.
