The city of Plantation has become the latest to prohibit people from walking on the streets and asking for money.
The City Council has banned solicitors -- including panhandlers and newspaper hawkers -- from all intersections on State Road 7 -- University Drive -- and Pine Island Road.
The new restrictions apply to anyone collecting money or raising funds, including firefighters and youth sports groups.
