Police Arrest Second Suspect in Fatal Miami Beach Shooting

Tyrone Jackson taken into custody in connection with shooting of Kamil Patel

Police have arrested a second suspect in last month's fatal shooting of a man on Miami Beach, officials said Friday.

Tyrone Jackson, 32, was taken into custody in Miami and was being transported to Miami Beach Police, officials said.

Police said Jackson will face a first-degree murder charge.

Jackson was wanted in the Jan. 26 shooting death of 29-year-old Kamil Patel. It's the second arrest in the case this week, with 31-year-old Jeremiah Grant Dorvilus taken into custody on Thursday.

Patel was shot and killed near the intersection of Espanola Way and Collins Court. Police said Patel, who was the manager of a Prada store and had recently moved to Miami Beach from Texas, was walking with his girlfriend when a car pulled up behind them, and a man got out of the vehicle and fatally shot Patel.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown.

Police said a Crime Stoppers tip led them to Jackson's location in Overtown.

Jackson is believed to be the man who pulled the trigger, while Dorvilus is believed to have been the getaway driver, police said.
