A South Florida woman was arrested and charged Monday with filing a false police report after fabricating a story that her grandson was inside her car when it was stolen. Read the updated story here.

Miami-Dade Police say a child who was abducted in a stolen vehicle Sunday night from a Southwest Miami-Dade gas station has been found safe.
MDPD Det. Alvaro Zabaleta said the incident occurred at a Sunoco location at 22025 SW 112th Avenue just after 8 p.m. with the mother of the three year old saying her car had been taken.
According to Zabaleta, the mother picked up the alleged suspect after meeting online about a vehicle transaction. The two adults and child went to a nearby Walmart before arriving at the gas station.
The mother told police that she went inside and when she came out, the car and her child were gone. Surveillance cameras captured the mother running after the car as it sped away with her child inside.
Officers began searching the area and later were notified by one of the mother's older children that the three year old had been dropped off outside of their home unharmed.

Investigators are still looking for the vehicle, a black 2014 Hyundai with Florida tag number Z59FLZ, but have not released a description of the suspect.
"Any individual that is willing to do this is somebody that you know, we want to take off the streets," Zabaleta said.
