Police Confirm Body Found Inside Submerged Car Was Missing Woman

Fort Lauderdale Police confirmed the body found inside of a submerged car was missing woman Lisa "Noodles" Hayden-Gordon.

Hayden-Gordon's blue 2003 Hyundai Elantra was pulled from the New River in the 400 block of SW 7th Avenue Friday afternoon, less than a mile from where she was last seen.

The 52-year-old woman had been missing since January 24th, when she was last seen in downtown Fort Lauderdale at Revolution Live. Police, along with family and friends, canvassed the downtown area in their search, but to no avail.

Police said this remains an active and on-going investigation.

Friends and relatives have organized a gathering at Colee Hammock Park in Fort Lauderdale from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
