An elderly woman was struck and killed by a car as she exited a bus in Little Havana Thursday morning, Miami Police confirm.
The woman, identified as 88-year-old Isabel Menendez, was exiting the bus at Southwest 27th Avenue and 11th Street when a vehicle hit her.
Menendez was taken to Ryder Trauma but died as a result of her injuries.
Both the bus driver and the car that hit her remained at the scene. It is not known what factors may have been involved in the crash, or whether the driver will face any charges.
An investigation is ongoing.
