Police Hunt ‘Robbin' Hood' Thieves

Pair of hooded thieves pulled off pair of robberies this week: BSO

Police are looking for a pair of hoodie-wearing South Florida thieves they've dubbed the "Robbin' Hoods" after the two pulled off back-to-back armed robberies this week.

The first robbery happened Monday at a Mobil gas station at 3991 Stirling Road in Dania Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Police say the two robbers demanded everyone inside to get on the floor at gunpoint, then robbed them of their cell phones and cash before taking more money from the cash register.

The next day, Tuesday, a pair of robbers struck at a Taco Bell at 3970 West Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderdale Lakes.

Again, the robbers held employees at gunpoint as they stole cash and fled in a white Dodge Charger, police said.

The thieves wore masks, gloves and hooded sweatshirts during both robberies, and BSO robbery detectives believe they may be responsible for other robberies in the area.

Both robberies were caught on surveillance video.

A reward of $1,000 has been offered for tips leading to an arrest, and anyone with information is asked to call Broward CrimeStoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
