Man Fatally Stabbed in Front of Wife and Kids in Miami: Cops

The stabbing stemmed from a dispute among neighbors

A man was fatally stabbed in front of his wife and children on Saturday by neighbor who was angry the man had asked him to lower his music, Miami Police said.

At 9:30  a.m., Phillip Arthur, 24, asked Dorian W. Hinkson, 51, to lower his music because his wife was trying to sleep, police said. Hinkson became enraged, grabbed a knife and stabbed Arthur once in the chest in front of his family in the courtyard of their complex, located at 1319 66th Street, police said.

Hinkson was taken into custody, but Arthur died after arriving at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Unit.

Miami Police have found the knife.

Authorities continue to investigate the stabbing.
