Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another person injured overnight in northwest Miami-Dade.
The shooting occurred at an intersection near a Valero gas station located at Northwest 103rd Street and 12th Avenue just after 2:30 a.m.
According to police, two men were sitting at the gas station when another person came up and began shooting at them, then ran off.
One of the victims was taken to Ryder Trauma in stable condition. The second victim, a black male in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not released the identities of either of the victims.
Witnesses reported hearing a barrage of bullets. Aerial chopper footage shows what appears to be the victim's body covered by a tarp with several evidence markers placed nearby.
Miami-Dade Police are investigating.
