Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Pinecrest Fast Food Restaurant, Possible Link to Other Cases

Pinecrest Police are looking for a man they say robbed a fast food restaurant in the area Sunday night.

Surveillance video shows the man coming into the Burger King located at off U.S. 1 and SW 132nd Street just before 6:30 PM. Victims told officers he demanded money from a safe and everyone to the rear of the store, getting away with just under $800.

No customers were inside at the time and no employees were hurt.

Police are also investigating if the person in this case is the same man who held up two other stores along that area of U.S. 1 over Thanksgiving weekend – robbing the Farm Store off SW 121st Street on November 24th and the Dairy Queen off SW 86th Street on November 27th.

Victims describe the man as wearing black clothing and a tan hat while armed with a silver handgun and using a bandana to cover his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pinecrest Police or Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers.
