Police Investigating Murder-Suicide at Mirador South Beach

Police are investigating a murder-suicide at a Miami Beach high-rise apartment. It happened inside one of the units and now police are searching for a motive.

Officers were called to the complex just before 6 p.m. Wednesday and when they arrived, they found a man and a woman dead on the eighth floor.

It happened at Mirador South Beach located at 1200 West Avenue.

One resident said he's lived there for two years, and it's typically a quiet building.

"There's a lot of activity and I'm curious about what happened," Mark Richards said.

Police said the 911 call came from a man, and they believe he was one of the two people officers found dead when they arrived. The other victim is a female, according to police.

Investigators haven't released any details about what they believe led up to the double death but they said a firearm was involved.

They believe the pair lived at the complex but haven't released the nature of their relationship.

Police are not looking for any suspects.
