    Investigation Continues Into Death of Lauderhill Woman

    NBC 6's Melissa Adan has the latest on the search for the person who killed a 30-year-old Lauderhill woman. (Published Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016)

    Police are investigating after a woman was found shot to death in Lauderhill.

    The discovery was made Friday at a home in the 1600 block of Northwest 34th Terrace, Lauderhill Police said Monday.

    When officers arrived they found a woman with a gunshot wound to her upper body. She was later identified as 30-year-old Tiara Register.

    Friends and neighbors described Register as a young mother and avid volunteer.

    "That's disturbing. She was a good person, things like that aren't supposed to happen to good people," neighbor Wilfredo Jacsaint said.

    Jacsaint said he saw her daily working with kids at a summer program at Lauderhill Point.

    "She was just there helping to feed them, watch over them, make sure there weren't any mishaps," Jacsaint said.
