Police-Involved Shooting at El Romance Nightclub: Officials

Authorities said they are investigating a police-involved shooting at a Miami-Dade nightclub.

The shooting happened at the El Romance Nightclub at 3451 NW 36th Street, according to Miami-Dade Police.

The shooting happened after an altercation that led to the stabbing of two people, police said. When the officer aproached the subject, shots were fired and the subject was struck, police said.

The three injured people were taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital where their condition is unknown.

The officer was uninjured in the incident. It is unclear if the confrontation began inside the nightclub.

No further information was immediately released.
