Police Probe Explosion at Suspect Boca Raton Pot House

Authorities are investigating an explosion at a suspected South Florida marijuana grow house that triggered evacuations of some nearby homes and closed streets.

The explosion was heard by neighbors shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday in west Boca Raton. Police told The Palm Beach Post (http://bit.ly/1o3Foo2 ) that no one was inside when they arrived, although an uninjured dog was there.

Investigators say witnesses saw a man and a woman running away from the home after the blast. No arrests have been made. The evacuations and street closings ended by late morning.

The home's owner told police he is renting it out. Neighbors say the people in the home have been there about six months.
