Police Release ATM Photos of Missing Coral Spings Woman

Maria Murphy is considered an endangered person

Authorities continued searching for a missing Coral Springs woman on Monday.

The disappearance of Maria Claudia Murphy was being investigated as if she was an endangered person because authorities do not have anything to explain her disappearance, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Sg. David Kirkland as saying.

Murphy's husband Frank left for work Friday and when he returned home, she wasn't there.

"It's been an extremely difficult time," said Frank Murphy. "I can't begin to explain what I'm going through."

Maria Murphy wasn't employed and police said she went to a Bank of America branch on University Drive on Friday.

Photos of her at the branch's ATM were released Monday.

Police said she was last seen walking eastbound on U.S. 441 at Copans Road, and her black 2005 BMW remains missing.

"What would have made her get out of the car and start walking?" Frank Murphy said.

The family passed out fliers on Monday and police were planning a news conference to discuss the case Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities urged anyone with information to call Coral Springs police at 954-346-1262.
