Police Search for Pair Who Killed Miami-Dade Store Clerk on Thanksgiving

Miami-Dade Police are searching for a pair of armed men who killed a convenience store clerk during a Thanksgiving Day shooting.

The murder happened around 9:50 a.m. Thursday at the shop at 13101 Northwest 27 Avenue when the two suspects entered and started shopping for several items, police said.

The clerk, 40-year-old Rashid Keblawe, was bagging the items when one of the suspects shot him. They then jumped over the counter and started beating him as he tried to fight back.

Keblawe was shot several more times and the victims fled the scene, police said. Rescue workers responded but it was too late for Keblawe, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they're looking for two black males, both with thin builds, who were wearing dark pants and hooded sweat coats. They were in a four-door older model Buick.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
